Client & context
1C is a large software company with over 2,000 employees and more than 10,000 partners. They needed to:
- Localize and maintain large volumes of documentation, interfaces, and training materials.
- Support translation and publishing for books, articles, help systems, websites, and application interfaces.
- Coordinate work across internal teams and external partners.
I worked as Head of the Software Localization Department & Software Developer, responsible for tools and processes to support this at scale.
Challenges

- Need for robust project planning, task distribution, and remote work capabilities.
- Requirements for translation quality assurance, staff development, and throughput monitoring.
- Need to support versioning, access control, and data storage for many projects and users.

2. Supported products and partners
- Managed and published:
- 1C:Subsystems Library.
- Several small business applications, including a mobile client, and related materials.
- Application demos and supporting documentation.
- Built customer-oriented support for international users and partners, earning strong positive feedback.
3. Rebuilt and maintained the international developer network site
- Rebuilt and maintained major parts of the 1C:DN international site, which serves:
- Online store.
- CMS.
- Documentation and training materials.
- Partner support and resources.
- Ensured the site could support multiple products and services and scale with company needs.
