I wrote a small paper while working on my thesis. The idea of “Psychological quarks” seemed interesting: it combines the Myers-Briggs typology, the Adizes code, V. Ponomarenko’s character radicals, and Belbin team roles.

When attempting to use characteristics from people classifications created by different authors, you constantly run into the problem that not all of them are compatible with each other. Here is an example: let us try to describe, using the Adizes code and the Myers-Briggs typology, the character radicals described by Viktor Ponomarenko.

Psychological Quirks

The problematic areas are marked with red crosses. According to Adizes, E can inspire and lead others, but E also has creativity, which the hysteriod does not have. There is also difficulty in applying the Myers-Briggs typology: again, it is not possible to find an exact description, this time for the schizoid radical.

It is proposed to add an additional parameter to the Myers-Briggs classification: Creativity/Adaptability.

Psychological Quirks

With such an expanded classification, called Psychological quarks, V. Ponomarenko’s character radicals look as follows:

Question marks indicate typology elements that are not meaningful for the given character radical.
